Luis & Jessica Fuentes
Luis Fuentes opened Cafe Avanti in Miami Beach in 1989. Decades later, Luis still owns and operates Cafe Avanti alongside his daughter, Jessica Fuentes. Over the years, Cafe Avanti has maintained the same location and many of the same waiters, providing a classic Italian dining experience for Miami Beach.
Born in Cuba, Luis began his career as a teen making pizza in the North End of Boston. He later moved to Miami and never fully disconnected from the food and service industry. Luis eventually opened Cafe Avanti in Miami Beach, where he would spend day in and day out shaking hands, giving hugs, and building relationships. Decades later, Luis continues to be an integral part of the Avanti experience with his daughter, Jessica. Together, Luis and Jessica take pride in the Cafe Avanti legacy and love delivering authentic Italian to their community each and every night.
